WFS Trip • El Salvador March 2024

WFS Spring Break Service Trip • March 10-16, 2024

Looking for a Spring Break Trip with Purpose? This is the trip for you. Boys from Woodberry Forest School will be able to complete half their service hour requirements over this week as we serve alongside a ministry called Sus Hijos in San Salvador.

 

Together, as a team, we will build a home for a family in need, pass out food to a community, feed the homeless, spend time with a boys orphanage and so much more. There will be plenty of time of fun as well with a trip to the beach and ziplining.

 

This trip will open their eyes to the needs of children and families outside of America. It will be a trip of a lifetime serving with fellow WFS students.

Itinerary (subject to change):

Sunday: Leave in the morning to travel to El Salvador. Dinner. Feed the homeless in the evening. 

Monday: Build a home for a family in need.

Tuesday: Finish and dedicate the house and be part of a community feeding day.

Wednesday: Ziplining or jet skiing. Bowling with the transitional boys group.

Thursday: Visit boys prison and a boys orphanage, take a volcano hike, feed the homeless in the evening.

Friday: Beach day with kids and staff from orphanage and farewell dinner.

Saturday: Market and then return home with a new perspective and a full heart!

Deadline to Sign Up: Jan 1, 2024 (though the trip could fill up before then)
Trip Cost: $2100 + Airfare* (airfare will likely be around $1000)

Deposit Due at Signup: $250 nonrefundable deposit

Team Size: 16 people max

Age Requirements: Ages 13 and up.

Trip Paperwork and Other Requirements:

• A Background check will be run on all team members 18 and over

• Team members must sign our paperwork packet which includes a background check release form, liability form, trip policies document, etc. We will send this to you once you are added to the team.

*Please note: airfare prices vary depending on price at time of booking, etc. Flights to El Salvador are currently running around $700-$1000 roundtrip. Once flights are booked, we'll updated your total in Managed Missions (our mission trip app). Right now, the total is just a high-end estimate.
