Light of Love Ministry Ethiopia Trip
June 1-10, 2023

This team will travel to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to serve with several different ministries. Ethiopia is a beautiful country with amazing people, delicious food and the best coffee (it is, after all, the birthplace of coffee). One of our goals for this particular trip is to pour into the staff and workers who serve and pour themselves out day in and day out on behalf of their community's. It is our desire to let them know they are seen, known and loved by God. We will do this by pouring into them in a number of ways - one day we will take moms from one of our partner ministries and their kids to a park outside of the city for a time of family fun along with a delicious lunch. We will also spend several days serving at a local school, helping the staff in the kitchen and serving meals for the school children. Depending on the skills of our team, we may serve in other ways at the school. We will learn about the amazing work being done by the ministries we visit and come home with a better understanding of the needs and the culture of Ethiopia.

Deadline to Sign Up: April 1, 2023 (or sooner if the trip fills up beforehand)
Team Size: 16 people max
Age requirements: 12 and older
Trip Cost: $2000 + Airfare* (airfare fluctuates greatly but is currently running between $1200 and $1900 for flights to Addis Ababa)

Deposit Due at Signup: $250 non refundable deposit

Trip Paperwork and Other Requirements:

• A Background check will be run on all team members 18 and over

• Team members must sign our paperwork packet which includes a background check release form, liability form, trip policies document, etc. We will send this to you once you are added to the team.

• Team members will need 2 references from a pastor or spiritual leader. We have a reference form link you can send to your references to complete on your behalf.

If the trip is full, we will not charge your deposit.

*Please note: airfare prices vary depending on where each team member is flying from, price at time of booking, etc. Flights to Addis Ababa generally range in price from $1200 to $1900 roundtrip but do tend to fluctuate. We will try to book flights as early as possible so that we can secure the best rates possible. Once flights are booked, we'll updated your total in Managed Missions (our mission trip app). Right now, the total is just a high end estimate.
