Christ Church GO Team to Dominican Republic

This team will serve with Kids Alive in the beautiful mountains of Constanza, Dominican Republic. Kids Alive is a Christian organization that works to lift children out of poverty throughout the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Lebanon, Kenya and Zambia. It has seven schools in the DR that support the most vulnerable children to holistically change lives and provide education. Throughout the school year and summer, the GO Teams will support Kids Alive through different activities during the school year or in summer, including extracurricular activities for students, such as sports camps and learning programs. They also may work on light construction or maintenance projects to support their school infrastructure.

This team will come alongside Kids Alive in their work, offering encouragement and support for some of these end-of-school and/or summer opportunities. In addition to working closely with the kids and staff, the trip also includes several fun field trips throughout the week so that you can experience all the beauty that this region has to offer. This trip is perfect for first time mission trip goers and is great for families, mother/daughter and father/son duos, young adults, college students and others who can be active with the kids and do light work throughout the week. It is led by a Christ Church of Oak Brook leader, but you do not need to be a member of Christ Church to join.
Trip Cost: $2000 (including airfare)*
Team Size: 15 people
Age Requirements: 12 and up (up to age 17 must include a parent)

Trip Paperwork and Other Requirements:
• A Background check will be run on all team members 18 and over
• Team members must sign our paperwork packet which includes a background check release form, liability form, trip policies document, etc. Please see files in Managed Missions to download paperwork.
